However Outlook 97 is not supported by ActiveSync and so cannot be used in conjunction with your Handheld PC. Outlook has not always been a part of the Office suite of products. At the heart of the Handheld PC experience is Microsoft's Personal Information Manager (PIM) and corporate e-mail solution, Microsoft Outlook. Updates can provide enhanced performance, new features, bug fixes and security updates. Like Windows, Office is susceptible to security problems and every effort should be made to update Microsoft Office or indeed any office suite with product updates, patches and fixes.
